Traffic Storm

A denial-of-service attack isn't clever — it's a traffic jam on purpose. A botnet sends so many requests that your servers can't tell real users from noise, and everyone waits. Watch legitimate visitors (blue) and attack traffic (red) hit your server pool. Launch the botnet, feel the latency spike, then add defenses and watch the queue drain — and learn why "just add more servers" is a losing race.
